Service: A one hour call (voice or video, your choice) for brainstorming, advice, or problem-solving for your project or manuscript.
Scheduling & Timeline: We’ll find a mutually agreeable time within 2 weeks of booking and upon availability.
Fee: $150. Payment due 24 hours before the scheduled meeting.
Simple Read and
Editorial Letter
Service: After reading your full or partial manuscript, the editorial letter will review the strengths of the manuscript and provide specific, actionable suggestions for future drafting, with a focus on plot, pacing, and characters. Please note, this option does not include any in-line manuscript suggestions or edits.
Schedule & Timeline: Scheduled in advance based on availability. Letters will be returned 10-14 days after receipt of manuscript.
Payment: $800 for manuscripts up to 80K words, $1000 for manuscripts between 80-100K words.
Manuscript Assessment and Editorial Letter
Service: Think of this as a “single pass” developmental edit. You’ll receive in line notes and an editorial letter analyzing the manuscript, including an overview of its strengths as well as suggestions for future drafting, with a focus on characters, plot, and pacing. Editorial letters will be organized into subsections and will contain specific, clearly organized, and actionable feedback.
Schedule & Timeline: Scheduled in advance based on availability. Edits and Editorial letters will be within 3 weeks of receipt of manuscript.
Payment: $.026 per word
Full Developmental
Edit
Service: Includes 2 rounds of critique on your full manuscript. The first will focus on content and story, including notes in the manuscript that evaluate character, plot, and pacing. I’ll identify continuity errors and plot holes and offer possible suggestions and fixes. Second pass will focus on polishing story, craft, and voice and will include sentence-level recommendations. Editorial letters will give my assessment and overview of the current state of each draft of the manuscript and suggestions for revision. Letters will be organized into subsections and will contain specific, clearly organized, and actionable feedback.
Scheduling and Timeline: Scheduling will be based on availability. Manuscript with notes and editorial letters will be returned within 3 weeks of receipt of manuscript.
Payment: $.041 per word [$.026 per word for first round, and $.015 per word for second round]

I am flexible. Please contact me if your editorial needs require some combination of services above — you only have a partial manuscript, or only want in-line manuscript notes, you prefer verbal feedback on a zoom call, etc.

Content Notes
Although my focus is on romance, I have also worked on YA and MG manuscripts. I’ve also consulted on romance nonfiction. Contact me if you would like to discuss these projects.
If your manuscript is written in third person present, I am not the right editor for you.
Please note, I do not provide the following services: copyediting, proofreading, sensitivity reads, or query critiques. All in-line manuscript notes are from my perspective as a developmental editor.
New clients:
I might request a sample of your manuscript prior to booking.
You can request a small sample edit (up to 25 pages) for a fee of $150. If you immediately contract my services for that project, this charge will be credited towards your scheduling fee.
If you’d like me to read your previous books as part of the editing package, there will be an additional reading fee of $400 per book.
Payment Information
Payment Schedule for Editing Services: There is a $150 non-refundable scheduling fee that will be applied to the cost of your final editing package. Half of the remainder is due when you send your manuscript. The final amount is due upon receiving edits.
All payments will be rounded to the nearest dollar.

Scheduling
All services are scheduled in advance and subject to availability.
Cancellation fee: Scheduling fees are non-refundable.
1st rescheduling: $100 additional fee.
2nd rescheduling: Half the fee in advance as a non-refundable deposit.
Expedited Deadlines or Rush Projects: You can always inquire about gaps in my schedule or request accelerated timelines for previously scheduled services. Additional fees would apply.

You acknowledge that contracting my editing services does not include promotion on the Fated Mates podcast, this website, or my social media platforms. If I ever have cause to discuss your book publicly, I may disclose that I worked on your book as an editor. I am barred from professionally reviewing books I’ve worked on pre-publication.
